Profile

Daniele Florean is a PhD candidate at the DYNAMICS doctoral training program.

He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Economics at Bocconi University in Milan (I), and through a double degree program, he earned a Master's Degree in Sociology and Social Research at the University of Trento (I), and a Master's Degree in Sociology at the University of Bamberg (D).

Daniele's main research interests are gender inequalities, dynamics of family formation and labor market participation, and the use of longitudinal and sequence-based methods for the investigation of life course dynamics.

During the course of his studies, Daniele has been employed as student research assistant at the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (Lifbi), working on starting cohorts 2, 3 and 6 of National Educational Panel Study (NEPS). After his graduation, he worked as research assistant at the Professorship for Demography at the University of Bamberg and at the Staatsinstitut für Familienforschung an der Universität Bamberg (ifb), focusing on the relation between employment and well-being within households.
