Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin - Department of Social Sciences

Beginning of the Semester

Here you will find all the information you need to start your semester abroad at the HU!

Dear Incomings of the Winter Semester 2023/24

we are looking forward to welcoming you to HU Berlin!

the summer semester will start on the 16th of Octobre and we would like to invite you to a preliminary orientation session at the Department of Social Sciences.

We will also organise a second information event on the 16.10.23, the Dies Academicus, in which we will repeat some of the information prepared for the event on 26.09.23. Additionally, we will discuss the AGNES course selection further, as the second course selection period starts on the 16th of Octobre.

It will be organized as a hybrid session, so that you can also join remotely. If you are already in Berlin feel free to join us in person!

This event is on the first day of the second course application period. So you can join us and ask questions and then complete your course choice online via Agnes.

But since we have received some questions about course choice, how to study at HU etc., we would like to provide relevant information to you early on as well as offer the option to ask some questions and get to know us and each other.

That is why we recommend all incoming exchage students to take part in the festivities of the semester start!

The link to the zoom meeting is here.

We are looking forward to greeting you!

Best wishes,
Claudia Matthes and Max Resch
