Workshop with Prof. Gurminder Bhambra (Sussex): The Trouble with (Racial) Capitalism Tuesday October 31, 9.30-11.30

Please join us for a workshop with prof. Bhambra on racial capitalism. This workshop engages with some of the criticism of the concept of racial capitalism, and explores the historical links between capitalism and European colonialism.

Participation is open to all students (BA, MA and PhD), as well as researchers. Please register in advance through the registration form. Attendees are asked to read two texts in advance, which will be send to them upon registration:

This workshop will be followed by prof. Bhambra's talk "Varieties of Empires, Varieties of Colonialism" as part of the Politics Lecture Series. This lecture takes place from 12 to 1 PM in room 002 at Universitaetsstrasse 3B (no registration required).
