Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin - Sociology of Social Policy

Current Research

In our current research, we examine social inequality from a life course perspective. Particularly, we are intersted in intra- and intergenerational family processes within the context of different welfare regimes as well as demographic changes and how those processes lead to social inequality. Thereby, we mainly focus on wealth inequalities and inequalities in the labour market. We conduct theory driven, quantitative empirical research based on longitudinal data (e.g. German socio economical panel) and experimental data.
