Panel Discussion "Migrant Women from Turkey: Ruptures and Continuities"

We cordially invite you to join our online panel discussion on "Migrant Women from Turkey: Ruptures and Continuities".

The first wave of migration from Turkey made Germany home for women workers who came to the country within the framework of the 1961 labor agreement. Over the last six decades, not only has the German labor market changed but the challenges, experiences, and solidarity networks of the women migrants transformed. This panel explores the continuities and ruptures in the migrant women's lives and organizations and opens a discussion for the new understandings on the first wave and so-called second wave migration within gender studies.

The event will be held in English via ZOOM on Thursday, 11 November 2021 at 5:00 pm (CET).
