Research Training Group "DYNAMICS"


 

Dominic Gohla is a PhD candidate at the Research Training Group “The Dynamics of Demography, Democratic Processes and Public Policy” (DYNAMICS), jointly organized by the Hertie School of Governance and the Department of Social Sciences at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin since September 2019.

He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Science with a focus on International Affairs at University College Maastricht (NL), and a Master in Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin where he focused on social policy and policy analysis.

After his graduation, he worked as a research associate to Prof. Dr. Hanna Schwander, investigating the interplay between populism and turnout, as well as changing party positions towards childcare policies. He is interested in socio-economic inequality, the role of class in contemporary politics, and political mobilization.

Since April 2023, Dominic Gohla has been working in the Eastern Europe Department of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in project support as a consultant for the countries Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia.
